Amp Americas

Amp Americas develops, owns and operates dairy renewable natural gas (RNG) projects in the United States, capturing methane from manure with anaerobic digesters on partner dairy farms and selling the gas as a transportation fuel. Founded in Chicago in 2011, it first built and operated compressed natural gas fueling stations under the ampCNG brand, which it sold to American Natural Gas in 2019 to concentrate on dairy RNG. Its first digester, at Fair Oaks Farms in Indiana, was followed by projects in Jasper County, Indiana, Darlington, Wisconsin, and sites in Minnesota, Idaho and Kansas. It received the first dairy waste-to-vehicle fuel pathway certified by the California Air Resources Board. EIV Capital and Generate Capital are its capital sponsors, and Grant Zimmerman is chief executive.
