Armada

Armada is a San Francisco-based edge computing company that builds and operates full-stack AI infrastructure for remote and demanding environments. Its Galleon line of ruggedised, containerised modular data centres — from the suitcase-sized Beacon through the Cruiser and Triton to the megawatt-scale Leviathan — is paired with satellite connectivity and a software stack comprising Atlas for fleet monitoring, Bridge for GPU orchestration, and a marketplace of edge AI applications. Founded in December 2022 by Dan Wright and Jonathan Runyan, Armada serves oil and gas, defence, mining, manufacturing, telecommunications and government customers including Aker BP, the U.S. Navy, Saudi Aramco and WinDC, and in May 2026 raised a $230 million Series B at a $2 billion pre-money valuation.
