Dovetail
Dovetail is a Sydney-based customer intelligence platform. It was founded in 2017 by two former Atlassian employees, Benjamin Humphrey and Bradley Ayers, and began as a tool for running a single research method, the diary study. It now consolidates sales calls, support tickets, research interviews and other customer signals into one searchable store and applies AI to turn them into findings teams can act on. Dovetail raised a $63 million Series A led by Accel in January 2022 at a valuation above $700 million, and says its software is used by more than 4,000 organisations, including around a fifth of the Fortune 500. The company trades as Dovetail Research Pty. Ltd. and also has an office in San Francisco.
