EXFO

EXFO is a Quebec City test, monitoring and analytics company for the communications industry, founded in 1985 by Germain Lamonde. Its instruments and software are used to build, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot fibre-optic networks and data-centre infrastructure, spanning field network testing (OTDR and iOLM fibre characterisation, remote fibre testing and monitoring, modular platforms such as FTB Duo) and lab and manufacturing testing (1.6T bit analysers, Ethernet traffic generators, tunable laser sources, photonic-IC probe stations). It sells to mobile, fixed and cable operators, hyperscalers and data-centre operators, network equipment manufacturers, contractors, governments and research institutions, and says it serves customers in more than 120 countries and that over 95% of the world's largest communications service providers use its solutions.
