Founded in 2018 by Chuck Wallace and Reid Spitz, HDVI (High Definition Vehicle Insurance) provides commercial trucking insurance and telematics-based safety tools. Its HDVI Shift program links fleet safety performance to insurance pricing, supported by fleet dashboards and driver rewards. Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, with hubs in Chicago and Columbus, it became an autonomous subsidiary of Federated Insurance effective August 1, 2026.
