Numeral automates sales tax, VAT and GST compliance for online businesses, handling nexus tracking, state and country registrations, filing and remittance, exemption certificates, and a tax calculation API that plugs into ecommerce and billing stacks. The San Francisco company was founded in 2022, is backed by Y Combinator, and says more than 3,500 businesses use it. It has raised $135M across its funding rounds, most recently a $100M Series C in September 2026 from investors including Benchmark and Insight Partners.
