Ranovus builds optical interconnect for AI data centres, aiming at the point where GPU clusters stop scaling within a single rack. Its technology combines proprietary quantum dot and quantum well lasers, RAMZI modulators and monolithic integration with silicon photonics, packaged as co-packaged optics that sit alongside the processor rather than at the edge of the board. The current part is Odin 128, a 12.8 Tb/s co-packaged optics engine for XPUs and switches in scale-up fabrics. The company was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Ottawa, with further offices in Sunnyvale, California and Nuremberg.
