RecargaPay
RecargaPay is a São Paulo-based consumer financial platform whose mobile app lets people pay bills, top up prepaid phones and transport cards, make Pix transfers, and take out personal loans and credit cards. It was founded in 2010 in Buenos Aires by brothers Rodrigo and Alvaro Teijeiro with Gustavo Victorica, operated in several Latin American markets and Spain, and has focused solely on Brazil since 2016. The company is authorised by Brazil's central bank as a payment institution, a direct credit company (SCD, approved in 2021) and a credit, financing and investment company (SCFI). It reported more than 14 million customers in August 2026 and revenue of US$200 million for 2023. Rodrigo Teijeiro is chief executive, and its backers include IFC, IDB Invest, IDC Ventures, Fuel Venture Capital and TheVentureCity.
