Refurbed is a Vienna-founded marketplace for refurbished electronics, chiefly smartphones, laptops and tablets, sold at up to around 40% below new. It does not refurbish the devices itself: vetted refurbishers buy used stock, wipe the data, replace defective parts and cosmetically restore each device through a process refurbed describes as up to 40 steps, then list through its platform. Every sale carries a minimum twelve-month warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee, which is the mechanism meant to overcome buyer distrust of secondhand hardware. Sustainability is central to its positioning, and it reports cumulative savings including 474,000 tonnes of CO2 and 1,555 tonnes of e-waste since founding. Founded in 2017, it trades across German-speaking and wider European markets.
