Scalable Capital runs a digital investment platform for European retail investors, spanning both discretionary management and self-directed trading. Scalable Wealth, launched in early 2016, is its automated portfolio-management service with customisable strategies and savings plans; Scalable Broker is a flat-fee trading app for stocks, ETFs, funds, cryptocurrencies and derivatives with savings plans from one euro a month; and it adds interest-bearing cash accounts, credit facilities of up to 250,000 euros and private-equity access. It operates its own bank, Scalable Capital Bank GmbH. Founded in 2014 by Erik Podzuweit, Florian Prucker, Adam French and Stefan Mittnik, it is headquartered in Munich with offices in Berlin and London, and is backed by BlackRock, Balderton Capital, Tencent, Sofina, HV Capital and Tengelmann Ventures.
