Sunrun
Sunrun is a San Francisco residential solar company, listed on NASDAQ as RUN, founded in 2007 by Lynn Jurich, Edward Fenster and Nat Kreamer. It pioneered the solar lease and power purchase agreement, under which the company owns and maintains the rooftop system and the householder buys the electricity it generates, removing the upfront cost that had limited adoption. It has since added battery storage and grid services, aggregating home batteries into virtual power plants sold to utilities, and acquired Vivint Solar in 2020.
