Synthesia
Synthesia is a London company whose platform generates presenter-led video from a script, using synthetic avatars and voice clones instead of a camera crew, which makes corporate training, product and internal communications video cheap to produce and to re-version across languages. Founded in 2017 by researchers from UCL, Stanford, Cambridge and TUM, it sells largely to enterprises and has built its consent and moderation controls around the deepfake risk the technology creates.
