Vertical Compute
Vertical Compute is an imec spin-out attacking the memory wall in AI hardware — the gap between how fast processors compute and how fast memory can feed them — by stacking high-density memory vertically with logic in a chiplet architecture. Founded in 2024 by Sylvain Dubois, previously on Google's semiconductor strategy team, and Sebastien Couet, an imec memory researcher, it is headquartered in Louvain-la-Neuve with R&D in Leuven, Grenoble and Nice.
