Weekday is a Bengaluru-based AI recruiting platform that runs outbound sourcing campaigns rather than waiting for candidates to apply. It works from a database of more than 250 million people across the United States and India with contact information, filters candidates with AI, and reaches them by email, WhatsApp and phone; the company reports response rates of 30 to 40 per cent on those campaigns. It sells both a contingency model, in which dedicated senior recruiters source candidates and book interviews, and a self-service marketplace subscription, and it also runs a candidate-facing job portal with AI application, resume scoring and company reviews. Founded in 2021 by Amit Singh, Chetan Dalal and Anubhav Malik, it went through Y Combinator's Winter 2021 batch and employs about 38 people.
