Boulevard (company) · Remote · Remote - USA

Who is Boulevard? Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most. Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspa, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen . We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most . Our team values and celebrates our diverse backgrounds. Being open about who we are and what we do allows us to do the best work of our lives. We believe in equal opportunity for all, and you should too. Come Do the Best Work of Your Life at Boulevard Boulevard is the tech behind human touch. Built for the people who give care and the people who receive it. Helping self-care businesses bring everything into one place: operations, payments, client management, growth tools, and increasingly, leveraging AI to do more with less. So they can scale without losing what makes them special. For their clients, we deliver seamless, modern experiences: intuitive booking, smooth checkout, and communication that feels considered, not automated. As a Staff Product Designer, you'll operate at a highly strategic level: shaping the product, patterns, and frameworks that define how people interact with Boulevard while staying deeply empathetic, outcome-oriented, and craft-focused. This is a high-impact role for a designer who thrives at the intersection of business outcomes and human behavior, thinks holistically about product ecosystems, and wants to influence not just individual features, but how an entire platform evolves. What You'll Do Lead design strategy in close partnership with Product and Engineering, defining success metrics and ensuring work ladders up to long-term company goals. Design end-to-end journeys, patterns, and frameworks that enable scalable, coherent experiences across Boulevard's platform. Translate deeply human needs — whether from clients, business owners, or staff — into clear and compelling product experiences. Partner closely with engineers to guide implementation, ensuring design intent is preserved in production. Act as a design leader and multiplier: raising the quality bar, influencing peers, and contributing to design culture, standards, and best practices. Collaborate with other designers to evolve Boulevard's design system to support growing complexity and future growth. Explore and help define how Boulevard can leverage AI to enhance product experiences, with a strong focus on trust, clarity, and real user value. What You'll Need to Thrive Deep empathy for users and a strong instinct for what makes experiences feel effortless and trustworthy. Deep understanding of the full, iterative design process — including research, journey mapping, content design, wireframing, prototyping, testing, and high-fidelity execution. Proven ability to balance business goals with a high-quality user experience, designing for outcomes like conversion, retention, and engagement. Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping teams find clarity in evolving environments. A strong point of view balanced with openness to feedback and iteration. Ability to focus on outcomes over outputs, shipping thoughtfully while maintaining a high quality bar. Proficiency with modern design and AI tools (e.g., Figma, Claude, Cursor).
