Engineering Lead

Engineering Lead Location: Athens, Greece (On-site) About Twin Prime Twin Prime is an AI lab built for reasoning in the physical world, especially in defense and security settings. Founded by researchers and engineers from leading frontier model companies and quant funds, we build architectures that reason across complex sensor modalities in real time. We are headquartered in New York City and are currently expanding our footprint in the EU by way of Athens, Greece. The Role We are looking for an Engineering Lead to lead our Athens, Greece software engineering team and oversee the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software products. This role will establish technical priorities, guide system architecture, manage engineering projects, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and delivered on schedule. The Engineering Lead will recruit, mentor, and manage engineers; review code and technical designs; resolve complex technical challenges; and collaborate with product, operations, and NYC leadership. Responsibilities - Lead, mentor, and grow the software engineering team. - Establish technical strategy and development standards, oversee system architecture, software design, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Manage project priorities, timelines, resources, and budgets. - Produce and review code and technical designs, improve engineering processes and product quality, resolve complex technical challenges. - Ensure platform security, reliability, and performance. - Collaborate with NY team to translate business goals into technical solutions. Requirements The ideal candidate has strong software development experience, proven engineering leadership skills, knowledge of modern technologies and cloud platforms, and the ability to manage teams and deliver complex software projects successfully. Specifically: - 10+ years of experience in highly demanding software engineering roles. - Track record leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects. - Strong analytical foundation and structured communication skills; ability to distill complex operational issues for technical and non-technical stakeholders. - High degree of comfort working closely with software engineers and researchers. - Ability to both manage engineering teams and deliver high quality code as an IC.
