Product Development Engineer

Dioxycle · Paris

About Dioxycle Dioxycle is developing next-generation electrified chemical manufacturing technologies that produce cheaper, cleaner and sovereign critical chemicals, key to mining, energy infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and consumer goods. Our technology uses electricity and widely available feedstocks (CO, CO2 emissions, salt streams) rather than fossil fuels, de-linking the production of critical chemicals from fossil-linked supply chains exposed to chokepoints, export bans, and price volatility.   We focus on chemicals where our direct electrified pathway simplifies complex multi-step fossil-fuel-based processes into fewer simpler steps; delivering a process that is both cleaner and cheaper. Having validated the superiority of our technology at our industrial module scale, we are now preparing for commercial deployment.   We are supported by world-class funders including Lowercarbon Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Gigascale Capital and have raised $40M to date. We operate from two centers in Paris and California (so whether you are passionate about outdoors or good food/art scenes, we have a location for you to join!)   Your Mission Dioxycle is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our design team. You'll be working on end-to-end development of our electrolyzer stacks, at the intersection of mechanical design, breakthrough electrochemistry, and manufacturing - taking concepts from CAD to physical reality, and iterating fast.   This is a role for someone who thinks rigorously, builds pragmatically, and isn't afraid to get into the details of a component tolerance or a supplier negotiation. You'll have real ownership over a core piece of our technology. The problems are hard, the impact is direct, and the work is never boring.    Your key responsibilities will center around: - Design new electrolyzer stacks using CAD software, from early concept to detailed drawings - Dimension and validate components (manifolds, bipolar plates, sealing systems, compression systems) using theoretical calculations and computational simulations - Own innovative product design initiatives in close collaboration with the stack team, chemistry team and scale-up team - Lead manufacturing planning, procurement, and supplier relationships for your stack product
